      What about the colour toners? Will it print just black if no colour toner present?

      • Lexmark advise for all toners to be present for the printer to print correctly. Even if you are just using black the colours need to be in there.

      Lexmark wrote: "[we] advise for all toners to be present for the printer to print correctly" so what happens if a colour (eg cyan) is not needed (eg black + yellow only) and that colour (eg cyan cartridge) is empty? And can it print if more than one colour is empty or missing?
      • Most colours contain a mix of the Black, Cyan, Magenta or Yellow toners so any document printed without all cartridges being present will, in the large majority of cases, not print in the true colour required.

        This is part of the reason that all cartridges need to be present and contain toner
