      Need a printer with both wifi and other connection capability - if the dcp j1200w does not have this, can you reccomend one that does
      • I can confirm that this printer can be connected to a device using a USB 2.0 cable. This will need to be purchased separately if you don't already have one.

    Good quality printing at reasonable price.

    Much better than more expensive printer it replaced. Initial problem with setting up wifi connection but now resolved. Very impressed.

    Good basic printer

    Having looked at reviews, this printer seemed the best value for my typical printing requirements. It was straightforward to install and so far (1 week) it has worked well. It does sound like a hen being pulled through a small hole when it is printing but I can live with that.

    So far, so good

    Bought this very recently, so have yet to test its full potential. It prints quickly and quietly (compared to my last printer) and print quality is good. The only downside was that setting it up was not straightforward as it could not be found on our home network (even though it could draw data from the network via my laptop) and the online guide was not particularly helpful. It tool over an hour to set it up, and we had to resort to hard-wiring the printer to the laptop to get any print output. A set-up disc would probably have avoided these issues. So far, it seems to be good value for money. Whether it will stand the test of time, and not fall victim to built-in obsolescence as so many devices do these days, remains to be seen. Fingers very much crossed!

    Brother DCP-J1200-W A4 Printer

    Printer was easy to set up and use from Mobile Phone over WiFi, still haven't managed to check it out over WiFi from Laptop but I have only been been trying it out for a few hours so I expect it will be easy enough.
