      • All brand new cartridges come with set up cartridges that are required to help set the printer up initially. These only contain a small amount of ink and will probably need to be replaced as soon as the first cartridge warns the ink is low.

      • I have looked at the official specs for this printer and it does support Linux. Does not mention Linux Mint. I would recommend that you call Brothers UK Support number, 0333 777 4444, to check with them directly before purchase.

    Prefect Printer

    Brother MFC-J1010DW Printer

    Arrived very promptly and well packaged. Set-up was fairly straightforward using the quick set up. PC successfully connected with the supplied optional printer cable. (These used to be included) The wi-fi was also set up OK for our iphones and ipad. Also tested OK on A4 paper as supplied and a colour print on gloss photo paper was successful too. Not high usage and still using included inks. What is not to like.

    Brother MFC-J1010DW A4 Colour Multifunction Inkjet Printer (Wireless)

    We already have a Brother laser printer which we like so wished to stay with this make and it was better than expected easy to use good quality print. This service from Cartridge People was excellent with a early delivery, well done.

    So far, so good

    I think the main problem most of us have with inkjet printers is their reliability and longevity - they usually lack both. Therefore, it's a bit early to say whether this Brother printer will be better than the other makes I have owned, but it seems better built and more solid. Brother has a good reputation so I'm hoping it will last longer than the usual time period. So many other makes of printer seem to be built to only last a few years at best. This printer was easy for me to set up and is working well with Windows 10 and 11, printing at a quality level that is just fine for me. At the moment I'm very happy. The cost of replacement cartridges seems a little more reasonable than some other makes as well.

    Good prints

    Quality prints at reasonable price. App doesn't print from websites though, so screenshots needed.
