    paper ink profiles
    I currently use Canon inks and Permajet papers and their profiles- If I change to own brand will i have to get my profiles re done?

    When will the canon Pfi inks be available?
    I am waiting patiently but thinking of now changing my printer as original inks are too expensive.
    • Original cartridges for the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300 can be found at https://www.cartridgepeople.com/Canon/Imageprograf-Pro/ImagePROGRAF-Pro-300-Ink-Cartridges but unfortunately we don't currently have a lead time on our own brand equivalents.

      It can take some time from the introduction to market of the originals for sufficient recycling to have taken place for own brand products to become available

    states pigment based but an answer says dye based
    hi guys the Compatible Canon PFI-300 inks state in the summary box that the ink type is "pigment" based
    im aiming for archival quality prints, so havent strayed from the official inks, but figured if these are pigment based, they would be safe to use.
    however another question asked if they were pigment or dye based, and the team have responded they are dye based?
    can this be cleared up, if it is dye based the summary box should be changed

    • The majority of our own brand cartridges contain dye inks, hence the previous response, but this product does contain pigment ink.

    Do these compatible inks give any errors when putting them into the printer?
    Do these compatible inks give any errors or warnings when using them with the Canon PRO-300 printer? I previously had an Epson printer, and each time I added a non genuine ink, it gave me a warning about non-genuine inks being fitted. It would randomly generate a warning about non genuine inks every so often. Also, the remaining ink levels never seemed quite accurate as it requested replacement whilst there was still a few ml of ink in the cartridge.
    • While you may be reminded that you have installed non original inks, you should find that once you're past this these cartridges will work just like the originals

Nowhere near as good as Xanon originals

Bought these own brand cartridges but they are weak colour wise compared to Canon original cartridges disappointed 👎
