      Does it come with the ink cartridges
      DCP-J1140DW
      • Every printer will come with set-up or 'starter' cartridges. These do not have an enormous amount of ink in them though and are purely there for you to set up the printer. I would suggets that you also buy a new full set as well.

      will it work over wifi and usb
      • This printer can be used with Wifi and USB but is not compatible with Chrome OS for Chromebooks.

    Excellent performance

    I Got this as previous printer died, this one is easier to use and faster than the LaserJet I had before, and the ink is way cheaper, simple set up too.

    Replacement Brother Printer

    I decided on this printer after extensive review of the brother range. Cartridge People had a competitively priced product, based on my experience of buying replacement cartridges, opted for the printer.What a company. product almost delivered before I had ordered it. well packaged and protected. Product would have got 5 stars, but had to make 2 calls to Brother Technical support, and reset the Printer Network Card 4 times and restart my modem 3 times before it would connect. once connected, really easy to use with excellent results,

    Super quick

    Click print and for a black only it literally files out the printer almost instantly - think it's actually 7s but compared to my old printer which used to whirr and whirr before finally printing this seems like magic. Colour prints take longer but still pretty prompt. Setup was pretty straightforward. The app looks good - haven't used it much. Firmware update message came up on the little screen and just did the update on that with a couple of button presses. Very simple! Print quality seems fine. Only used for basic home printing so I just want something practical and quick. Slightly smaller overall than old printer which is also a plus. Holds a lot more paper too.

    Excellent home printer

    This is the fourth Brother printer I have purchased over the last 7 years. One laser and 3 inkjets for myself or family members. All are still giving excellent service. I selected this one to replace a previous model MFC-J480DW which ended up at my daughters but has never come back! This model like the previous one above is compact, quiet and with excellent print quality (I print mainly text not photos). If the ink consumption matches its predecessor I will be well pleased. Hope that cartridgepeople will soon be bringing out after market cartridges as the Brother originals are a bit pricey. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced printer with good quality output that won’t break the bank you can’t go wrong.
