For improved fade resistance, these Ink Cartridges support Canon's ChromaLife100: a system of genuine Canon dye-based inks, which deliver exceptionally broad colour gamut, and specialised photo paper designed to work together with 'FINE' print heads.

Expensive but reliable

I've tried various cheaper alternatives to original Canon ink but either the colours don't look quite right or everything looks fine but colours on photos fade over time.
